About Us Volunteer Assistance

There are many opportunities to help change someone’s life by volunteering at the Oshkosh YMCA. Founded by volunteers, the Oshkosh YMCA continues to be led by volunteers with over 900 individuals having volunteered in 2002. Our volunteers comprise our board of directors, serve on committees, work special events, work with children, coach sports and more.

We welcome volunteers with all talents, interests and schedules. Please complete the Volunteer Interest Form if you are willing to become a volunteer and someone will contact you.

Policy Volunteer: Serve on the board, committees and task groups setting policies and providing support for the Oshkosh Community YMCA.

Program Volunteer: Offer assistance in numerous activities by lending your special skills or by acting as role models for youth, adults and families served by the YMCA.

Fund Raising Volunteer: Actively solicit funds from the community to further advance the YMCA mission through the Strong Kids Campaign.

Special Events Volunteer: Help with specific events, such as: Healthy Kids Day, open houses, swim meets and YMCA fund raisers.

Housekeeping Volunteer: Give time to make the YMCA a better and cleaner place. Opportunities exist within all YMCA facilities and their grounds.
