My name is Crystal Resop and I am the School Age Director. I have been with the Oshkosh YMCA since 2019 gaining more knowledge in the childcare field. Prior to coming to the Oshkosh YMCA, I have also worked at the St. Louis YMCA, Fond du Lac YMCA, and Wausau YMCA. I have 2 Bachelor’s Degrees from Lindenwood University in Business Administration and Criminal Justice as well as an Associates Degree in Human Resources from Rasmussen College. By the end of 2024, I will also have my Administration Credential for Childcare.
As the School Age director, I oversee 5 before and after school sites, Camp Winni-Y-Co, and Summer Fun Club. Each year I serve about 240 kids each day during the school year and 220 kids each day during the summer. I am passionate about providing youth in our community a safe and fun place to come after school as well as during the summer. Teaching kids about the YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring while building lasting friendships brings joy to my heart.
I started working at the Y when I was in college for some extra cash on the side. Little did I know the lasting effect that the kids, families, and organization would play in my life. I have been with them ever since and I do not regret it one bit. I love the work environment, as everyone has the same goals and philosophies as I do. I enjoy coming to work every day and continuing to make a lasting impression on the youth in our community!
Outside of work I love spending time with my family. I stay active with my 6-year-old son Jaxon and my 6-month-old Kane. I have been with my husband since 2006. My family and I are big sports fans, and you might often see us at the bowling alley competing in tournaments.
