Hello! I’m Syd and I’ve been a trainer at the Y since 2023, shortly after I became certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I also have my group training certification. I’ve been a member at the Y for as long as I can remember. Growing up, it felt like we were at the Y almost every weekend, playing in the soccer arena or going swimming. As I got older, I began working out on my own. Every night after school I was at the Y on the treadmill and hitting the steam room after.

At the beginning of 2022, I tried weightlifting for the first time and truly fell in love with the process of working out. Since then, my knowledge of the art of bodybuilding has grown tremendously through mentors, work, and personal experience. I decided to start personal training at the Y so I could help other people experience the same confidence I’ve gained. I specialize in muscle building, aesthetics, and beginner friendly workouts. 

Aside from lifting, some of my hobbies include taking walks, boating, painting, tanning, and petting cats. I consider myself more of an introverted person, (which you probably wouldn’t believe if you’ve met me before!) however I always appreciate time with friends and family.
