Hello Everyone! My name is Taylor Douglas and I am the Youth & Family Director at the Oshkosh YMCA. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, majoring in Youth Programming and Camp Management; with Environmental Education & Adventure Education as minors.
My role in the Y is to provide programs and family events for participants of all ages and abilities. I’m responsible for Wiggles & Giggles, Preschool Programs, Safe @ Home, Safe Sitter (Babysitting), Youth Lock-Ins, Youth Fishing Program, Parent/Child Events, Family Campouts, Family Fun Fest, Strong Moms, Community Nights, and the new Summer Youth Adventure Program.
I started working for the Y in 2010 and have had the opportunity to work for four different branches across multiple states. I chose to work for the YMCA because I love teaching others and providing people with opportunities and experiences that they would likely not get anywhere else. The relationships I have developed at the YMCA are strong, healthy, supportive, and empowering. The YMCA has turned into my second family, and I truly enjoy coming to work every day.
When I am not at work, I spend all my time with my son, Wyatt, and other loved ones. I try to spend as much time outside as possible. My hobbies include camping, hiking, gardening, fishing, traveling, and scuba diving. If you see me at the Y or out in the community, don’t be afraid to say hi!
